About us

Built for the moment a parent starts to worry

Child Development Finder exists because too many Malaysian parents are Googling "my child isn't talking" at midnight and finding nothing they can trust.

The problem we saw

When a parent notices something different about their child's development, their first instinct is to search online. What they find is either terrifying worst-case content, or vague reassurances that don't help.

Meanwhile, the specialists who can actually help - paediatricians, speech therapists, developmental psychologists - are hard to find, hard to evaluate, and hard to reach. Parents don't know who to call, or whether they even need to.

Child Development Finder bridges that gap. We meet parents at the moment of worry, help them understand what they're seeing, and connect them with the right professional if they need one.

Our team has spent years working alongside paediatric healthcare professionals in Malaysia. We understand the clinical realities, the gaps in the system, and what parents actually need when they're worried.

The screening questions in this tool are grounded in established developmental milestone frameworks used by paediatricians. They are reviewed by qualified healthcare professionals and updated regularly.

What we are — and what we're not

We are an educational screening tool. We help parents understand what they're observing and point them toward appropriate professional support.

We are not a diagnostic tool. Nothing on this site constitutes a clinical diagnosis. All assessments and diagnoses must be conducted by qualified healthcare professionals.

No legalese. Here's exactly what we collect, what we do with it, and what we don't do.

What we collect

During the screening

Your child's first name (optional — you can skip this), their age group, and which area of development you're concerned about. Your answers to the milestone questions are used only to generate your result. They are processed in your browser and not stored on any server.

Only if you request an appointment

If you choose to request an appointment with a provider, we collect your name, phone number, and email address. This information is shared with the specific provider you selected, so they can contact you. We also retain a copy to manage our lead records.

What we don't do

We do not store your screening answers anywhere outside your own browser.

Where data is stored

Appointment request details are stored in your browser's local storage and in our secure internal system. We use this only to manage and respond to your request. No screening answers are retained after your session.

Your rights

You can request deletion of any data we hold about you at any time. Email us at privacy@purpleplayhouse.com and we will remove your information within 7 business days.
